Neighbourhood Facebook Groups
There are a number of Facebook groups, run by volunteers and who are a great source of local information and also a great way to meet people in your locality!
Hummingbirds Children Centre
Hummingbird Children Centre, located at Broughton Fields School, has been the heart of the community for 10 years supporting families and children to provide services and intervention from birth upwards. Facilitating services which help build support networks for parents and carers to give their children the best start in life. We offer a wide range of activities for all to access within the community, we provide sessions which support school readiness, information on finding local services such a childcare, early education, Healthcare and working in close partnership with other agencies to support employment or further education for adults.
Our ethos at Hummingbirds is to provide a happy, relaxed and non-judgmental place where everyone can seek advice and activities to meet their family’s needs
Unfortunately, in these uncertain times we have had to find new and creative ways to reach out to families at present, sessions have had to be put on hold. But the centre is still open for support to families via telephone 01908 609609. We also have a Facebook page Hummingbird Children’s Centre with lots of information and sharing ideas and activities. We can also offer Face to Face support on a 121 basis. Families can register online, www.milton-keynes.gov.uk/childrens-centre
