October Half Term 2024 Events & Activities 

Get ready for an exciting October half-term packed with fantastic, fun-filled activities! We know it can be a challenge to keep the kids entertained during the break, so we’ve planned a series of free activities for all local families in our parish. These events are designed to bring the community together and create memorable experiences for everyone. 
 
Don’t forget to stop by the Community Hub for a quick break before heading off to the next activity. We can’t wait to see you there and make this half-term one to remember!

October Half-Term Activities – Free for Parish Residents! 

We’re excited to offer a range of free activities this October half-term exclusively for Broughton & Milton Keynes Parish residents. From creative workshops to self-development courses and even a Halloween party, we’ve got something for everyone! These activities are designed to keep young minds engaged and entertained during the break. 
 
Our Community Hub will also be open from Tuesday to Thursday, between 9.30am and 2pm so feel free to drop by for coffee and refreshments while the kids enjoy their activities. Craft Packs will be available too! 
 
To ensure your child’s participation, please register your interest using the online form below. Please note that submitting the form does not guarantee a place as spaces are limited. We will confirm places once the registration process is complete.

Halloween Party 

Join us for a spooktacular Halloween Party at Broughton Pavilion! Kick off your Halloween festivities early with a fang-tastic afternoon filled with fun, games, and plenty of treats. This event is perfect for families and friends to come together in their spookiest costumes and enjoy some hauntingly good times! 
 
The party will take place on Thursday, 31st October, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Broughton Pavilion. Please note that an adult must accompany each child for this event. 
 
Spaces are limited, so be sure to secure your spot by filling out the online registration form below. We can’t wait to see your scarily good costumes and join in the Halloween fun! 

Let's Kick It Day Camp 

Keep your kids active and entertained this half-term by signing them up for the Let’s Kick It Day Camp! Happening on Tuesday, 29th October at Broughton Fields Primary School, this fun-filled day is open to all children aged 4 to 14. 
 
Thanks to a special partnership with Broughton & Milton Keynes Parish Council, limited free spaces are available for children living within the parish.

Self Awareness Course 

We’re excited to announce a Self-Awareness Course designed to help young people improve their awareness of their surroundings, increase their alertness, and enhance their personal safety. This one-hour session, led by Angela Harris from Quietly Confident, will focus on empowering participants with key skills to stay safe in various environments. 
 
Whether you're looking to boost your confidence or just want to learn essential tips for personal safety, this course is a valuable experience for young people in the community. 
 
Parents are encouraged to accompany younger participants (under the age of 13). Register using the online booking form below and secure your place! 

Halloween Craft Packs 

This Halloween, we’re offering a special treat for the children in our parish to make the spooky season even more magical! From Tuesday to Thursday, between 9:30 am and 2:00 pm, visit the Community Hub to pick up a free Halloween Craft Pack. Each pack is filled with fun, creative supplies that will help your little ones get into the Halloween spirit. 
 
While you’re there, why not take a moment to relax and enjoy a tasty snack? It’s the perfect opportunity to connect with others in the community while the kids get their craft materials ready for a spooky, fun-filled day. 
 
Since these Craft Packs are limited, we encourage you to come by early to make sure you don’t miss out. And remember, you’ll need to bring proof of address to claim your pack, as this event is exclusively for our parish residents.

Climb Quest Session 

Looking for an adventurous way to keep the kids entertained this October half-term? Join us for a Climb Quest Session at the Kingston Centre in Milton Keynes on Tuesday, 29th October, at 10:30 am. This exciting activity is open to 11-16-year-olds and offers a fun and healthy challenge for everyone, with over 25 different climbing challenges suitable for all abilities.

Ridden Trick & Treat Trail 

This Halloween, let your little ones experience the magic of riding with our Ridden Trick and Treat Trail on Thursday, 31st October at the Ride High Equestrian Centre in Loughton, Milton Keynes. Designed for children aged 3 to 14, this fun activity lets kids enjoy a led pony ride through a spooky trail, with a special treat waiting at the end! 
 
No prior riding experience is required, and parents are welcome to walk along the trail and capture memories with photos. 
 
Choose from two time slots: 9:30 am or 10:00 am. *Register online using our Online Form!

Self Defence Course 

Join us for an empowering Self-Defence Course where young people will learn how to recognize potential threats and practice essential self-defence techniques. Led by Angela Harris from Quietly Confident, this one-hour session is designed to equip participants with practical skills to ensure their safety in challenging situations. 
 
Whether you're looking to feel more confident in your ability to protect yourself or just want to learn some effective self-defence strategies, this course offers vital training for our community’s young people.
